STEP 01: PAINT THE FRAME

Use your brush to paint all 4 edge frame pieces blue, including the sides. Leave them to dry fully.

STEP 02: TAPE A SHAPE + PAINT THE BLOCK

Use masking tape to create a simple square in the centre of the canvas. Fill it with blue and let it dry.​

STEP 03: TAPE, MIX + ADD THE PINK

Once dry, tape out another line at the bottom of your blue square. Mix red with white to make pink, then spread it across the rectangle with the palette knife, keeping it loose so some blue still shows through.​

Paint used: 606 + 116

STEP 04: TAPE, MIX + ADD THE GREEN

Once the pink is dry, tape out a smaller rectangle across the line where blue meets pink. Mix blue and yellow to make green, then fill the shape for the final graphic detail.​

Paint used: 303 + 541

STEP 05: PEEL OFF THE TAPE + FINISH

Peel the tape away slowly once the paint is dry, then attach your painted edge frame.
